THE GOD THAT DIED ?

HOW CAN GOD DIE ?

IF JESUS (P) WAS GOD HOW CAN HE DIE ?

IF GOD DIED WHO WAS RUNNING THE UNIVERSE FOR THREE DAYS IN WHICH THE GOD WAS DEAD UNTIL HE ROSE AGAIN TO LIFE ?

I MEAN THERE HAS TO BE A LIMIT TO INSULT THE ONE TRUE EVERLIVING GOD OF ABRAHAM (P)

HOW FAR ARE THE CHRISTIANS WILLING TO GO AND INSULT THE ONE TRUE GOD JUST TO MAKE JESUS (P) GOD?

Christian’s believe that Jesus is the son of God; that is he is human, not God.

Ah, you’ve run into Christian theology and you’re probably a muslim, so now you’re confused!
Let me try to give you some answers, but remember the most important answer: there is no way to explain the idea of vicarious atonement in a logical way. It is not logical. It’s not supposed to be logical. Its illogicallity is its very point.
    Now to your questions:
    1. Well, He’s almighty, so if he bloody wants to, he can.
    2. See 1.
    3. According to Christian theology: God.
See, stricktly speaking only Jesus died on the cross. The idea that God himself died is considered a heresy by the name of ‘Theopatism’ (i.e. ‘God suffered’). Now, wasn’t Jesus God? And if Jesus died on the cross, then shouldn’t God have died with Him? True, by all means and logic. However -I told you this above- Christian theology is not logical. See, logic is considered part of creation by Christians. It’s not considered transcendent. So in creation if A=B and B dies, then A has to be dead as well. That’s logical. But in Christian theology God is beyond creation and therefore beyond logic. He can be dead and alive if He so wills and He can be this at the same time, because time too is part of creation and God is beyond that.
But even for theopatists there is an answer. Who ran the universe if not only Jesus died, but also God Himself? Well, as I said earlier: God is almighty. He’s perfectly capable of creating a universe that can run for a few days without Him. He’s even capable to create a universe that can run without Him for eternity. So three days is a piece of cake!
    4. No. There is no recorded limit.
    5. Well, as you may have gathered from the above, it is far from Christians to want to insult God. They don’t WANT to make Jesus God, they BELIEVE He is. They believe Jesus was God and died and they believe He did this of His own free will. Accepting that because you honestly thing you have compelling reasons to do so, can’t possibly be an insult.
Now, if a muslim would say God died, THAT would indeed be an insult!

    And Allah knows best!

brbrl , Thats a revelation of the century , unless you are a Unitarian Christian or you belong to Unitarian Church .

About Jesus (p) being Just a Human son of God and not a God himself it not a problem at all for God calls a lot of Prophets in the Bible as his sons , Any way thats make you a Muslim if you have realized

Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian but he was true in faith and bowed his will to Allah’s (which is Islam) and he joined not gods with Allah(God).
    Qur’an 3: 67

If you reflect on the above verses of Quran with an open mind you will see the truth behind it , for Prophet Abrahim(p) was neither a Jew or Christian in fact he was the one who completely trusts and bows down to the will of God if you translate this description into Arabic you will get the word Muslim ( meaning the one who has surrendered himself to God) .
Another important thing to note from the above verse of Quran that the Jews have deviated from the path of Prophet Abrahim(p) by killing their very own Prophets send to them by God and the Christians have deviated form the One true Monotheistic religion of Abrahim( p) by becoming Polytheists and making THREE GODS OF ONE TRUE GOD of Abrahim (P)

shirhashirim , I would sincerely advise you not to loose your head over Illogical things .

If you want to follow a A GOD THAT WAS KILLED BY A BUNCH OF ROUGE ROMAN SOLDIERS ON THE CROSS THEN IT IS FINE WITH YOU AND THAT IS YOUR ILLOGICAL CHOICE .

PERSONALLY I THINK NO SANE MAN WOULD TRUST A HELPLESS GOD WHO CAN BE KILLED BY A BUNCH OF HUMANS , LEAVE ALONE SUCH GOD BEING ABEL TO SAVE THE ENTIRE HUMANITY WHEN HE COULD NOT EVEN SAVE HIMSELF .

sufi786, I wasn’t talking about my own beliefs, I was explaining the beliefs of Christians. My own beliefs are irrelevant to this discussion.
Furthermore Christians don’t believe God is helpless, they believe He CHOSE to be helpless and He CHOSE not to save Himself. That’s not exactly the same as ‘being helpless’.
I can understand why you think no one ‘would trust a helpless God’. From a human viewpoint that’s a perfectly reasonable assumption. However, putting Christians (still the largest and fastest growing religion in the world) away by implying that they are ‘not sane’ is a mark of intolerance. We in Europa used to think Jews were not sane for not recognising the messiah and look where it got us.
It’s one thing to not understand something, it’s quite another to blame your own lack of understanding on the sanity of others. Maybe you just don’t understand and Christians do. Let them!
Oh, and btw: keep your fingers away from the caps-lock. It’s bad netiquette and I’m not deaf.

Knowing why Jesus Christ died is a grace given by the God who cannot lie. I believe you too deserve salvation.

Of course, I will refer you to the Holy Bible for an answer.

    Philippians 2:

1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

    7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.

8And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    and became obedient to death—
    even death on a cross!

9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

I am not saying lies, but rather I am saying of what is written in the Holy Bible.

I have so much to say, and it is all in the Holy Bible. Ask our Presiding Minister Bro Eli, the bible shall answer.

Jesus (the Son) died, not Elohim (God the Father)

Jesus was half mortal and half immortal. He received the ability to die from his mother, Mary, who was 100% mortal. He received the ability to overcome physical death from his Father, Elohim (God) who is immortal.

Also, Jesus was not inexistent during the 3 days in which he was physically dead. His spirit was still very much alive. In the book of Luke chapter 23:43, when Jesus is on the cross and dying, he mentions to the thief also on a cross “today thou shalt be with me in paradise”. When people die, their spirits go to either spirit paradise or spirit prison. There, they wait the final judgment as explained best in the Book of Revelation. As they wait, they can even receive preaching of the gospel as spirits. In 1 Peter 3:18-19 we read,
“For Christ also hath suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;”.
As you can see, Jesus spent those 3 days showing his himself (his spirit) to all dead spirits; preaching to them that have died from the beginning of the world until his coming. In 1 Peter 4:6 we read why these waiting spirits need the preaching:
“For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in spirit.”
We will all be judged of God and we all need to learn the gospel and the way to God and His Kingdom. Those people that do not learn the truth in this life will receive the truth as a spirit as they wait for the final judgment at the end of the world and before the resurrection of all mankind.

Jesus is not God. Jesus is who he claimed to be. THE SON OF GOD. The trinity is a false teaching. It wasn’t always there, not until 4 generation. Jesus worned us of False teachings that would be renderd into what we see today. Jesus never claimed to be God.(john 5:18)(john 3:31-32) john 7:16 Father means creator and son meanes off-spring The holy spirit is there act of force. The trinity isn’t the only false teaching in todays world and thats the reason why you have other believes. Todays Chrisians are taught right away false believes. And any one who wants to throw the word was a word thing, God and Jesus talk the same word. Remember God was and is foirever and Jesus was his first Creation and Jesus was also the first to come from a womb and rise up back to ware he came.

God was by himself for along time , then one day he created Jesus.Col 1:15-17. Then he created the angels. then he created earth and the universe. Then living soals called animials with his breath of life, then he created man gen 1:26 let US create man in our image. The word us means more than 2. and wouldn’t God talk to everyone there? Now I can’t find in the bible were jesus says the holy spirit is a person. so…. just this one debate seperates the world, now you can see why we have what we have.
I love the your thinking with Jesus being 1/2 human 1/2 spirit and all that. Cool concept. Anyway that is why Muslums and some Jews think Christians are nuts is because of the trinity and christians think there nuts cuz the don’t believe jesus is God and nobody can think outside the trinity and now we got false prophets and man Saten is sure a clever guy. He’s playing games with us and we just keep on keeping on.

And that is the problem of all of us because we focus only on one definition that God is powerful.

Let’s just not forget that other mean of God is love.

And Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

If that God was died in flesh then what’s wrong? The flesh Profit nothing.

What’s the important is the message and the message is love.

and this love is still carry on this day from that time.

and that love is the word of Christ which camed from his Father in heaven.

From a small flocks into a billion of believers now.

once and for all, love never failed.

Jn:10:34: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
    Jn:10:35: If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
